This might seem like a strange forum for suggesting people should examine the amount of time they spend on entertainment. This column is to help people find worthy outlets for their spare time. Posting this exhortation may be like a restaurant nailing a notice on the door informing patrons they shouldn't eat out often. Writing this article has caused me great anguish. I completed the original in about fifteen minutes. Finalizing those paragraphs has taken about fifteen hours. I'm not sure any of the original words survived the cut. Life could not have been easy for John the Baptist. I'm not eating locusts and wild honey, but I am perhaps crying out in the wilderness to people who don't want to hear a discouraging word. Novel by Nikki Arana Wow. Really, that’s the first word that springs to mind when you ask me to sum up Nikki Arana’s new release, As I Have Loved You. She grabbed me in the prologue, when she parts the misty veil between heaven and earth and reveals the plan of God in one boy’s life, and she kept me hooked until the last page. This book made me cry—which is a real feat—and kept me thinking for days on end. |

Our featured interview for this month involves a well known name in the world of Christian Entertainment–the last name anyway. Dallas Jenkins is the son of Jerry Jenkins, one of the co-authors of Left Behind fame. I believe his name is going become familiar to Christian movie-goers soon. I hope to review Midnight Clear, his newest movie, in the near future and help do my part. |
