A Motivation to Act PDF Print E-mail
Faith Articles
By Rachael Sales
Is there anything more vital than the care and protection of our children? As a Christian, a wife, a mother of six, and an educator, my answer like yours, I’m sure, is an emphatic My God No! Like many of you, I believe that a society that does not invest in its youth divests from it’s future. But in spite of all of our great proclamations as good Americans, good Christians, our nightly headliners report a different story.

Starving to Death in the Land of Plenty PDF Print E-mail
Faith Articles
By Debra Elmore
There is a strange phenomenon I am aware of, a condition that belies explanation. I have become so accustomed to this mentality, this over-indulgent way of living, so acclimated to this modern day Babylon, that I scarcely feel its constant pull on my life at times. Faith Articles
By Debra Elmore
It came to my attention recently while I was visiting a Mosaic church that I was pretty uneducated in the aspects and origins of many holidays, St. Patrick’s Day included. The pastor began to elaborate on the historical figure known as Saint Patrick and as I listened, I made a mental note to look into the people and events behind this annual celebration for the future.

Flowers and Candy for Jesus? PDF Print E-mail
Faith Articles
By Matt Philips
I felt very blessed by God on February 14th this year to have absolutely nobody to call my valentine.  While this may sound harsh and insensitive, I assure you that there’s reason to my madness.  I would enjoy having a significant other (massive understatement), but the fact that I didn’t have to pony up the dough to buy flowers and candy for someone could be construed as a positive…or at least I tell myself that to avoid feeling like a loser.  I did send a Valentine’s Day card to my mother, but I suppose that doesn’t really count.
